Day 1 - My favorite place to relax
Day 1 and I am already stumped. I have so many places I love to be to relax. The hammock in my back yard, the front porch where I can also watch my girls on their play set, or curled up in bed beside my husband with a good book or movie. Really my favorite place, and the one time that I can sit down and relax, would have to be when my family has movie night. Beds are made on the living room floor, popcorn is warm in our bowls, and a movie is on the TV. What better time to sit back and be thankful for everything I have than to see my family curled up together and being peaceable!Day 2 - My favorite movie
I don't think I can pick just one movie, but if I have to it would be Steven Kings Rose Red. Houses fascinate me. The older and more mysterious the better! I love the old southern plantation houses with the hidden rooms. Scottish castles with walls that hide passageways. Rose Red is one of the first horror films I watched and ever since then I have been hooked. I am not much into the alien type or zombies, but give me a ghost, a house that is alive, or a good film that has a twist at the end and I am all for it. The Haunting, The Others, The Village, are all some that call to me. I am also into the 'kid' movies. Things like City of Ember and The Golden Compass. Mysterious for a kid and somehow addicting to me.Day 3 - My idea of the perfect date
The first day of Fall! Just kidding! My perfect date would be any date with my husband that does not involve any planning on my part. Any thing I get to do with him is great. I even love the days we get Taco Bell and go to the junk yard to pick up some car/truck parts. My favoritist (I know its not really a word) date is when my husband cooks me dinner, we order in a movie, and we relax together with our phones turned off.
Day 4 - Favorite Picture of my best friend
OK, So this is my best friend Lainie Grogg and I. I love this picture cause it shows that we have been friends from day 41 (she is 41 days younger than me). Lainie is not only my best friend but my cousin and we are close enough to consider each other soul mates. We promised each other that when we are old and gray, our husbands are gone, and our kids have already had their own kids, we will be together till the end! Two old maids sitting on the front porch talking about everyone who drives by!
Day 5 - How important you think education is
Jasons boss comes to him for almost everything needed to fix and run the plant.
Another example, Amanda works in an office as the head financial administrator. She has only a high school diploma and has never worked in the financial field. However, she was able to take over and do a better job managing the business finances than the previous manager who had spent 3 years in college for business finance.
So I guess to me education is great, but what type of education is what matters.

Day 6 - A picture of an animal you would love to keep as a pet

Ah - The miniature Bengal Tiger house cat. I happen to have one! I am very fortunate to have a husband that sees the love I have for them. We were hanging out in our garage with some friends and they decided they had to go to town to get some things. I went with them of course but out hour trip to town turned into a two hour drive so that I could pick out my kitten. Turns out these two month old cats were already the size of a normal house cat. And after only a year my Tigger weighed 20 pounds and is all muscle. He tries to act like a guard dog with other animals and he takes after my husband by being best friends with anyone who walks thru the door. He loves the kids and tolerates almost anything from them. From being dressed up to getting pulled thru the house by his tail, all he does is meow and let them do their worst. He is also a bed hog! He loves to curl up on your lap or if you are laying down sleep right on your chest!
Day 7 - My Dream Wedding
Every girl dreams of a big wedding. The dress, the guests, dancing, the works. As a kid I had plans to have a big wedding. I wanted the big outdoor wedding. Next to a lake with tents and white fabrics blowing in the slight breeze. I even drew out seating charts, designed my cake, and had who I was marrying picked out. In real life all that was different. I married the guy from school that I could not stand, we got married in November at the local firehouse where he volunteers at, his ex-wife (who happens to be my friend) was our photographer, and we probably only had about 150 guests. I wore a dress that I had bought years ago when I was first engaged, and he wore a borrowed suit. My three stepdaughters were my girls and our nephew was the ring bearer. It was not the wedding I had dreamed of, nor was it to the man I had planned when I was a kid, but it was the wedding of my dreams as an adult. I got to marry a man that I am proud to call husband and best friend. I got to become a step mother to three very beautiful girls, and now I get to spend the rest of my life with them. I am truly blessed to have been given something so wonderful.
Day 8 - A song to match my mood
Today happens to be the 10 year anniversary of when the Twin Towers fell in New York. As someone who has emotions that run so strong they hurt, I woke up early crying. To think of all those people that were hurt or killed. I even have compassion for the ones who died on those planes that were part of the terrorist group. I believe that everyone needs someone to pray for their soul no matter what bad you have done. And those that have done good need my prayers too. I may not have lost anyone on that tragic day, but I felt everyone's loss as if it were mine. I cried at night thinking of what I would have done if it were my family that had been part of all that. It was a bad day for the world as a whole. So with that said and with tears running down my face, I give you my song
